About Our Project Idea

How can we design a way to allow people to break out of their isolated routines in public areas by increasing opportunities for physical and social engagement in a public space? How can we encourage people to STOP, LOOK and INTERACT?

This is the problem that Team AwareSquare is trying to solve. We’re using Westlake Park in Seattle as our first incubator to observe how people use public spaces to express themselves and collaborate. The AwareSquare blog will be our project journal as we explore how we can improve public spaces and document our journey.
